Introduction

     Lar de Acolhimento Temporário is a halfway house, which is subsidized by Social Welfare Bureau and is operated by Caritas Macao. We offer temporary accommodation service for rehabilitated persons who have difficulties in living.

    Our dormitory occupies an area of about 3000 square feet and is with 20 beds. Besides basic facilities for daily life, there are computer equipment, wireless network, library space, etc. In addition, social workers on duty also provide counselling service and organise regular activities.

    With a comfortable accommodation for temporarily stay, our service users can pay more attention to plan for the future and reintegration into society.

Objective

We aim to facilitate rehabilitated persons' reintegration into society through counselling and rehabilitation activities, thereby reducing the chance of re-offending and achieving social harmony.

Types of Service

• Accommodation and meal services;

• Personal and employment counselling;
  

• Interest groups and volunteer services;
  

• Adaption of independent living;

• Follow up the cases after leaving.

Target Group

 Male rehabilitated persons who were followed up by Department of Social Reintegration of Social Welfare Bureau, and who ask for help from us.

Application

• Have a referral by Department of Social Reintegration;

• Upon receipt of an application, we will conduct an evaluation for applicants;
  

• After approval, we arrange the applicant to move in.

     Monday to Saturday: 09:00-13:30, 14:00-18:00

     Closed on Sundays and mandatory holidays
