Introduction

Praia do Manduco Elderly Centre and Casa Ricci Elderly Centre have each served the community for over thirty years. Through social welfare services and the organization of social support networks, they have fostered mutual care and friendship among the elderly, encouraging them to stay active both physically and mentally, participate in society, and enjoy their golden years. To diversify services and meet societal needs, the two centers merged in January 2022 to form Hino Luminoso Elderly Centre. This merger expanded facility space, improved equipment, and optimized the work team, enabling the provision of more diverse services for the elderly in the community.

Objective

The center was established to promote mutual care and friendship among the elderly in the community, encouraging them to stay active both physically and mentally, participate in society, and enjoy their golden years. The ultimate goals are to ensure the elderly have a sense of belonging, opportunities for learning, and the ability to contribute meaningfully.
